Stephen C. Dunn Funeral Director and Embalmer

He graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1964, which was the last class to graduate from the old high school on West Wooster Street. He attended Bowling Green State University from 1966 to 1970 and graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1971, where he was one of two members of the class to receive “special recognition” for interest and ability in embalming. He is the former President of Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green. Following graduation Steve served his internship at the former Herman Birkenkamp & Son Funeral Home in Toledo and has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 50 years. He is past-president of District 7 of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, a past board member Wood County Cancer Society, the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce and the Bowling Green Country Club. He is a member or past member of the National Funeral Director's Association, Ohio Funeral Director’s Associations, the Ohio Embalmer’s Association, Maumee-Bowling Green Elk’s Lodge, the Falcon Club, Bobcat Boosters, BG Blueliners, Classic Chevy Club of America, National Impala Association and was included in “Outstanding Young Men in America” in 1978 and 1983. Steve is the oldest of eight children born to Donald E. and Marian J. (Stevens) Dunn. He and his wife, Becky, a retired nurse, live next door to the funeral home in an 1880’s brick, “Coach House,” which was converted into a home in the 1940’s. They have one son, Stephen Shane and a grandson, Garrett Stephen who they enjoy spending time with. Steve enjoys driving, showing and working on his classic 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, his 2002 "retro" Thunderbird, playing golf, listening to 1950's rock and roll music and jet skiing and boating at their cottage on Lake Erie. He donated a kidney to his youngest brother Tom in 2002 who suffered from kidney disease.

Timothy R. Dunn Funeral Director and Embalmer

A lifelong resident of Bowling Green. Tim is a graduate of Bowling Green High School 1980, Bowling Green State University 1985 and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science 1986, in which he graduated cum laude. He has served as a funeral director for over 35 years, and is recognized by Who’s Who in America. He is a member of the N.F.D.A., the O.F.D.A. and past President of the District Seven Funeral Director’s Association. He has also been a licensed Insurance agent for the past 35 years. He is currently President of Dunn Funeral Home Bowling Green and Peinert-Dunn Funeral Homes Whitehouse, Waterville and Tontogany. Tim is a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church and attends Dayspring Assembly of God Church Bowling Green. He is also a member of the Bowling Green Exchange Club, Falcon Club, Bobcat Booster Club, BG Blueliner’s Club, Elk’s Lodge #818, Eagles Club and BG Backcourt Booster. He is a former member of the Bowling Green Optimist Club and B.G. Country Club. He is also a supporter of the Northwest Ohio Autism Society. He is a past Board Member of the Bowling Green Community Foundation (2003-2008) and past Chairman of the Annual Grants Committee, Bowling Green Parks & Recreation, BGSU Falcon Club Advisory Board. In the fall of 2017 he was appointed to the board of the Bowling Green Convention and Visitors Bureau (now named Visit BG Board) and is currently serving his 2nd term. Tim is one of three members credited with starting the “Coaches Corner” for Bowling Green State University in support of BGSU Football. While attending BGSU he coached basketball for the 7th grade and freshman teams at Bowling Green junior high school. For over 45 years he has volunteered for the Bowling Green Youth Baseball Association, holding offices as Pee Wee League Commissioner, Grounds Supervisor and fundraising chairman. In 1982 he became President of the league, a title he still maintains today even though his children are no longer participating. From 1985 to 1989 he worked with the City of Bowling Green and the Mayor’s office in developing, fundraising and constructing a new 9 diamond baseball facility at Bowling Green Carter Park which opened in the spring of 1990. Also, he currently is the director of the Bowling Green Adult softball program for the north diamonds at Carter Park. He received the “I Love Bowling Green” award in 1990 from the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce, the “Doyt L. Perry” award in 1996 from Bowling Green State University for outstanding contributions to the Falcon Football program and in 2021 he was honored by the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce as "Male Citizen of the Year". Tim at a young age, grew up working at the Dunn Funeral Home for his father (Donald), brother (Stephen) and uncle (Marvin), mowing the lawn, painting, washing cars and other numerous tasks around the funeral home. He became a licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer in 1986, co-owner and vice-president in 1987. He received his Life/Health Insurance license in 1987, which qualifies him to make pre-arranged funeral contracts with the families he serves. Both Tim and his brother, Steve before him, donated a kidney to their youngest brother, Tom. Tim donated his kidney to Tom on January 12, 2006. In his spare time he enjoys attending Falcon football, basketball, volleyball and baseball games. He really enjoyed watching his daughter, Mackenzie play volleyball for Oakland University from 2017-2019. He is so proud of his first two daughters, Brittany who graduated & played volleyball for Oakland University and has now joined the family business at Dunn Funeral Home, and his second daughter, Ashley who graduated & played volleyball for Bowling Green State University and is now living in Columbus, OH. His son, Tyler played basketball & baseball for BGHS and graduated from The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and joined the family business in 2017. Tim loves traveling and supporting his step-daughter, Giana, who also plays volleyball and is currently the starting setter for Perrysburg High School. He loves playing golf, spending quality time with family and vacationing in Phoenix, Arizona. Tim is also, an avid supporter of THE Ohio State Buckeyes. He also treasures the time he can spend with his grandchildren, Sloane James (Dunn) Mohler born July 23, 2019, Murray Timothy (Dunn) Mohler born July 27, 2021 and Judson Murphy Dunn born January 28, 2022. He looks forward in spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren in the years to come.

He is a 1968 graduate of Otsego High School. He began working for the Croll brothers at Croll Funeral Home in Tontogany, OH while still in high school. He graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1972 and has served as a funeral director and embalmer for over 40 years. He has also been a licensed insurance agent for 25 years. He is currently president and co-owner of Peinert-Dunn Funeral Homes in Whitehouse, Waterville and Tontogany. Bob served on the Ohio State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers from 1985-1994. He is a member of the OFDA, past president of District #7 Ohio Funeral Directors Association, a committee member of Browning Masonic Community Alzheimer’s Pathways Committee and he serves on the Board of Directors of First Federal Bank of Delta. He was a former volunteer fireman for Washington Twp. and Whitehouse. Bob is also a member Plain Congregational Church in Bowling Green, OH, Rublicon Masonic Lodge #237 Waterville, OH, Scottish Rite, Zenobia Shriners, NRA, Whitehouse A's Model A Club, Black Swamp Chapter of the Veterans Motor Car Club of America. His hobbies are restoring and collecting Model A Ford cars and gardening. He has been married for over 40 years to Jackie (Dill), former elementary school teacher and also licensed funeral director. He has 2 children, Angie Peinert (Jamie) Weber, who is also a licensed funeral director, and Adam (Katrina) Peinert, a surveyor at Mannik & Smith in Maumee, OH. He also enjoys his granddaughters, Maggie, Grace and Charlotte and grandsons, Layne and Chase.

Brittany L. Dunn-Wilson Funeral Director and Embalmer

Brittany was born and raised in Bowling Green, Ohio. She is a 2006 graduate of Bowling Green High School. Brittany attended Oakland University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree in 2010. She then went on to the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, the same school her Uncle Stephen graduated from in 1971, and father Timothy graduated from in 1986. Brittany graduated Cum Laude in 2012 and received her funeral directors and embalmers licenses in 2013. She is currently vice-president of Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green and Peinert-Dunn Funeral Homes in Whitehouse, Waterville and Tontogany.

Brittany played four years of division I volleyball for the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies. She earned Summit League Defensive Player of the year, 1st team All-Summit league honors, and was voted by her coaches and temmates as the teams most valuable player in 2010. Brittany was the recipient of The Hollie L. Lepley award her senior year. This is the most prestigious award handed out by the Department of Athletics at Oakland University. The award is given to one male and one female student-athlete who have accomplished the highest athletic achievement, academic achievement and community service.

Brittany currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce, is a memberof the Bobcat Athletics Foundation Board where she is currently serving as secretary and is a member of the Bowling Green BNI chapter. She is a member of the Ohio Funeral Director's Association, The National Funeral Directors Association, BGSU Falcon Club and the Bobcat Booster Club.

She is a longtime volunteer for the Bowling Green Pee Wee League and the Adult Softball Program at Bowling Green Carter Park. She attends Dayspring Church in Bowling Green. In her free time, she enjoys camping, kayaking, traveling, playing volleyball, following THE Ohio State Buckeyes and spending time with her husband, friends and family. Brittany is the daughter of Timothy and Maryellen Dunn. She is married to Richard Wilson and they have two boxers Calvin and Reese.

Tyler was born and raised in Bowling Green, Ohio. He is a 2012 graduate of Bowling Green High School and 2016 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He then went on to the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, the same school his Uncle Stephen graduated from in 1971, father Timothy graduated from in 1986, and sister Brittany graduated from in 2012. Tyler graduated Cum Laude in 2017 and received his funeral directors and embalmers licenses in 2019.

Tyler is currently a member of the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club, is a member of the Ohio Funeral Director's Association, The National Funeral Directors Association, and member of the BGSU Falcon Club.

He is a longtime volunteer for the Bowling Green Pee Wee League and the Adult Softball Program at Bowling Green Carter Park serving on the Grounds Crew. In his free time, he enjoys working out at The Excuse every morning, walking his dogs, traveling to Arizona, playing golf and basketball, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. Tyler is the son of Timothy and Maryellen Dunn. He has three sisters, Brittany, Ashley and Mackenzie, fiancé Kelsey and two huskies, Koda and Reaper.

Britt was raised in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. She is a 2014 graduate of Lawrenceburg High School and received her Associates Degree in General Studies from Ivy Tech Community College. She then went on to The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, receiving her Mortuary Science Degree. Britt graduated with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude in 2023. Britt was the Class Representative of her class at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and Vice President of the Delta Gamma Pi Sorority during her time at mortuary school. While in college Britt worked as a Clinical Lab Assistant, helping support the needs of the college's lab and her classmates. She was recognized by the Ohio Funeral Directors Association receiving the Leadership Award, displaying exemplary leadership qualities. Britt also received recognition of Scholastic Achievement and Potential for Outstanding Business and Management Skills.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, being outdoors, shopping, exploring the new town she works in, Bowling Green and spending time with her family back in her hometown. Britt adores taking care of her niece Camila Rose and her newest nephew Oliver Bear

Jackie is a 1967 Bowling Green High School graduate. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1971 from BGSU and taught school at Ridge Elementary in BG. She received her Funeral Directors license in 1976. Jackie and her husband Bob have been in the funeral business together since 1972. Jackie is a member of the OFDA, District #7 Ohio Funeral Directors Association where she was a past secretary. Jackie is also a member of Plain Congregational Church in Bowling Green, OH, Whitehouse A’s Model A Club and Black Swamp Chapter of the Veterans Motor Car Club of America. Jackie & Bob have a daughter Angie Peinert (Jamie) Weber who is also a licensed funeral director in the family business and Adam (Katrina) Peinert, a surveyor with Mannik Smith in Maumee, OH. They have 5 grandchildren, Maggie, Grace, Charlotte, Layne & Chase which are the greatest blessings ever.

She attends Fallen Timbers Community Church in Waterville, OH where she sings on the Worship Team. Gary O. Hartzler Pre-Need Advisor and Monument Sales

Gary is a native of Urbana and has been in the Bowling Green area since 1981. He obtained his Ohio Insurance license in 2001 and is the Pre-need Advisor. He is available to families who wish to make funeral arrangements in advance and also oversees the “aftercare” program. He also is responsible for Monument and Marker sales and operates a professional funeral car company. Gary previously worked for the former F. W. Uhlman Department store chain as a buyer of Men’s wear clothing and was a former manager of Hawk’s Department store in Bryan, Ohio. He is a member of the Falcon Club and Bowling Green Country Club, where he has served as President for a number of years. Gary has two sons Bryan and Paul. He also has 4 grandchildren, Parker, Piper, Oscar and Kylee who he enjoys spending time with.

Mike grew up in South Toledo and was a 1988 graduate of Bowsher High School . After high school Mike enlisted in the US Navy for 4 ½ years and served in Orlando , Florida and at the Submarine Base Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. After the Navy Mike attended the University of Toledo for 1 ½ years and attended the Ohio State University for 3 years graduating with Bachelors of Science degree in Agribusiness and Applied Economics in 1998. After Ohio State , Mike attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science graduating in 1999. Mike received his Ohio Funeral Director and Embalmers license in 2002. In January 2003 Mike joined the Peinert Funeral Homes. He is responsible for the transportation and preparation of the deceased, supervision of funeral services and is involved in the maintenance and day to day operation of the funeral homes.

He is a longtime volunteer for the Bowling Green Pee Wee League and the Adult Softball Program at Bowling Green Carter Park serving on the Grounds Crew. In his free time, he enjoys working out at The Excuse every morning, walking his dogs, traveling to Arizona, playing golf and basketball, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. Tyler is the son of Timothy and Maryellen Dunn. He has three sisters, Brittany, Ashley and Mackenzie, fiancé Kelsey and two huskies, Koda and Reaper.

Britt was raised in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. She is a 2014 graduate of Lawrenceburg High School and received her Associates Degree in General Studies from Ivy Tech Community College. She then went on to The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, receiving her Mortuary Science Degree. Britt graduated with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude in 2023. Britt was the Class Representative of her class at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and Vice President of the Delta Gamma Pi Sorority during her time at mortuary school. While in college Britt worked as a Clinical Lab Assistant, helping support the needs of the college's lab and her classmates. She was recognized by the Ohio Funeral Directors Association receiving the Leadership Award, displaying exemplary leadership qualities. Britt also received recognition of Scholastic Achievement and Potential for Outstanding Business and Management Skills.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, being outdoors, shopping, exploring the new town she works in, Bowling Green and spending time with her family back in her hometown. Britt adores taking care of her niece Camila Rose and her newest nephew Oliver Bear

Jackie is a 1967 Bowling Green High School graduate. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1971 from BGSU and taught school at Ridge Elementary in BG. She received her Funeral Directors license in 1976. Jackie and her husband Bob have been in the funeral business together since 1972. Jackie is a member of the OFDA, District #7 Ohio Funeral Directors Association where she was a past secretary. Jackie is also a member of Plain Congregational Church in Bowling Green, OH, Whitehouse A’s Model A Club and Black Swamp Chapter of the Veterans Motor Car Club of America. Jackie & Bob have a daughter Angie Peinert (Jamie) Weber who is also a licensed funeral director in the family business and Adam (Katrina) Peinert, a surveyor with Mannik Smith in Maumee, OH. They have 5 grandchildren, Maggie, Grace, Charlotte, Layne & Chase which are the greatest blessings ever.

Angie is a 1993 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communications and Business Administration in 1997 from Ashland University. Angie began working at Peinert Funeral Homes in 1997 and received her Funeral Directors license in 1998. She is a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, Northwest Ohio Funeral Directors Association and the District Seven Funeral Directors Association. She attends Fallen Timbers Community Church in Waterville, OH where she sings on the Worship Team. Angie received her Limited Life/Health Insurance license in 1997, which qualifies her to make pre-arranged funeral contracts with the families she serves. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping for bargains, scrapbooking, and crafting. She is married to her husband Jamie. Gary O. Hartzler

Gary is a native of Urbana and has been in the Bowling Green area since 1981. He obtained his Ohio Insurance license in 2001 and is the Pre-need Advisor. He is available to families who wish to make funeral arrangements in advance and also oversees the “aftercare” program. He also is responsible for Monument and Marker sales and operates a professional funeral car company. Gary previously worked for the former F. W. Uhlman Department store chain as a buyer of Men’s wear clothing and was a former manager of Hawk’s Department store in Bryan, Ohio. He is a member of the Falcon Club and Bowling Green Country Club, where he has served as President for a number of years. Gary has two sons Bryan and Paul. He also has 4 grandchildren, Parker, Piper, Oscar and Kylee who he enjoys spending time with.

Mike grew up in South Toledo and was a 1988 graduate of Bowsher High School . After high school Mike enlisted in the US Navy for 4 ½ years and served in Orlando , Florida and at the Submarine Base Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. After the Navy Mike attended the University of Toledo for 1 ½ years and attended the Ohio State University for 3 years graduating with Bachelors of Science degree in Agribusiness and Applied Economics in 1998. After Ohio State , Mike attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science graduating in 1999. Mike received his Ohio Funeral Director and Embalmers license in 2002. In January 2003 Mike joined the Peinert Funeral Homes. He is responsible for the transportation and preparation of the deceased, supervision of funeral services and is involved in the maintenance and day to day operation of the funeral homes.
